Course Description:
MS Access
Introduction to Access
This course explains the fundamental techniques
for working with Access tables, forms, reports, and queries. Learn to create
databases and tables, add records to and modify the design of tables and create
forms. Discover how to join tables and select specific records and fields using
Access queries.
Prerequisite:
Windows experience, basic typing & mouse skills.
Intermediate Access
A continuation of the Introduction class, this class has a greater emphasis
on advance database techniques. Learn more in-depth queries, forms and reports.
Learn to include default values, validation rules and input masks. Learn to
create multi-table forms, queries and reports customized to your specific needs.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Access or
previous Access experience.
Advanced Access
This class will cover how to make select queries more versatile by using
parameters; use action queries to update data values and add or delete records.
Learn how to create outer joins and cross tab queries. Enhance the design of
reports by hiding repetitive data, grouping data on prefix values, and using
functions in controls.
Prerequisite: Intermediate Access or
previous Access experience.
MS Access 2007
Level 1
This course explores and defines the fundamental techniques
for working with the Access application. Learn to create tables, add records, and modify the design of tables.
Discover how to join and select a table's specific records and fields.
Prerequisite:
Windows experience, basic typing & mouse skills.
Level 2
Learn while creating relational databases,
queries, input forms and reports. This class has a greater emphasis
on advance database techniques. Learn to include default values, validation rules and input masks. Learn to
create multi-table forms, queries and reports customized to your specific needs.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Access or
previous Access experience.
Level 3
Apply skills while acquiring knowledge of advanced features designed to further
enhance the functionality of databases. Work with advanced queries, set up
complex forms, create complex forms, and customize database interfaces with
security functions. Prerequisite: Introduction to Access or
previous Access experience.
